Congratulations to Decatur High School scholar, Sienna, for her outstanding collaboration with UW Medicine’s Office of Healthcare Equity (OHCE) to address adolescent medical mistrust!

This partnership highlights Sienna’s leadership and dedication to promoting healthcare equity by building trust between healthcare providers and youth. Sienna’s work exemplifies the values of innovation, courage, and service to the community, setting an inspiring example for her peers and the entire FWPS community.

Congratulations to the Thomas Jefferson High School Raider Artificial Intelligence Division (R.A.I.D.) robotics team for advancing to the quarterfinals at the 2024 Washington Girls’ Generation robotics competition!

Held at Tahoma High School, this inclusive two-day event featured last year’s FRC game and robots, with 34 of the region’s top teams showcasing their skills through all-girl drive teams. The R.A.I.D. team competed in over 12 qualifying matches and advanced as the 4th-ranked alliance, demonstrating exceptional teamwork, strategy, and STEM innovation.

Congratulations to nine of our scholars from all four comprehensive high schools for their incredible success at the 2024 WIAA Boys and Girls Cross Country State Championships!

Your hard work, determination, and athleticism throughout the season paid off, and qualifying for state is a huge accomplishment. 

Congratulations to 18 of our Thomas Jefferson High School scholars for their outstanding performance at the Math is Cool Regional Competition, where they placed in the top 3!

This competition brings together the brightest mathletes from across the region to compete at a high level, and our scholars excelled across various grade divisions. Their hard work, critical thinking, and teamwork were on full display as they earned recognition for their excellence in mathematics.
